  • Trackbacks not working

Are the trackbacks supposed to work only with other sites..? If I enter a trackback-URL in a blog entry (both on our site), it doesn't show up anywhere.

Did you link to the other entry in your entry?

Yes. In fact even that page appeared, asking me if I want to send the trackback. I enabled that, but nothing happened.

For me to troubleshoot these, I need to see the entry you posted so that I may try it as well.

I tried that here as well, see the last entry in my blog here.
Probably its not a bug, I just can't understand trackbacks, as I've never used them before (in other blogging platforms).

That's what I tried, yes. It said, the trackback was sent, but it doesn't show up anywhere. The other user also can't see it anywhere.

Same here. I have found a section "Manage trackbacks" but its empty - nothing to manage. Though i tried to trackback from my blog on WP to the post on the forum blogs...

                    See the last two...
I'm not implying that there is a problem, probably I am doing something wrong...

Yes you are. You probably didn't select "Notify Server" when writing the last message. You also can't use "blog_callback.php" as a link, must be "blog.php".

In the next release it will work if you insist in using blog_callback.php though.

                        I finally got it!
Personally, I don't think that's important (using blog_callback.php), it was my mistake, I thought that this one was supposed to be used.

I have a similar problem with my blog. The trackback url blog_callback.php - is that the one that should be used from other sites or am I doing it wrong?

No, just use the url to the blog entry.

http://forum.tornevall.net/blog.php?b=1 in the case of your first entry.
