  • Hide Banned Users Profile Page/"Home Page" Link

    When I ban a user (which is 99% spam) I want all (public) references to them to be gone. (I could delete but this lets them re-register)

    I have my banned group not showing up in the member list, but the user profile page still works fine.

    Most of my spammers include a "Home Page" spam link, so even when I have removed their spam posts, they still have a link on my site. Grrr.

    So is there anyway to hide their whole user profile or just the "Home Page" field?

    Perhaps a plugin that checks if the usergroupid is the one from banned, and if not so, then show normal code ?

      Hi
      Yes I would like this feature too please. I don't want to delete their accounts otherwise I lose track of them. Also I want to hide them totally from all and only the Admin group (6) should be able to see them.

      Any help would be great.

        Here is the plugin to hide banned users profiles (Usergroup 8) from all but Admins:

        To create the plugin:

        1. Plugins & Products -> Plugin manager -> Add New Plugin

        2. For the Hook Location select member_execute_start

        3. For the Title: Make Banned Users Profiles not Show to all but Admins

        4. Leave the Execution Order as defaulted

        5. Plugin PHP Code: paste the following code in

        Code:

        if ($userinfo['usergroupid'] == 8 AND $vbulletin->userinfo['usergroupid'] <> 6)
        {
         print_no_permission();
        }
        6. Plugin is Active: Yes

        I did limited testing of the above and it worked on my 3.8.2 forum. If you try it just post here if it worked as designed, thanks.

                Could somebody please tweak this to show for Mods, supermods and Admin, I've been playing with it for about 30 minutes and failed pretty miserably
