Message entered too short?

Is anyone else having (or have had) a problem where members are complaining that they can't post? SOME of my members are receiving the error message one would receive when they've posted under the minimum amount of characters needed - but they're posting far more than that.

Is this an isolated incident or has this been discussed somewhere before?

This is either due to user error (i.e., BB code and quotes do not count as characters) or it's from a modification.
