  • Mass re-send activation email?

Hi, I have over 300 members who still have not activated their account so they are all in the usergroup Users Awaiting Email Confirmation.

Is there a default option to allow me to email everyone in that usergroup their activation email again? Rather than going through each one seperatly?

    Thanks.

You can send a mass email to the 'Users Awaiting' group and use $activatelink in the body of the message.

Admin CP -> Users -> Send Email to Users

Make sure you only choose the Users Awaiting group.

I tested this and it's not working correctly:

This is what the test user received:

Please be sure not to add extra spaces. You will need to type in your username and activation number on the page that appears when you visit the URL.

I am planning to send this to all 10000+ people who haven't activated their account yet, that's why it's important for me to get it working correctly.

Thanks in advance for your help

What didn't work? You example shows that it did work.

Some variables were not replaced as I supposed them to be:

          $vboptions[bburl]

          $vboptions[webmasteremail]

Took some time until I realized that they were not necessary though: Problem solved, thank you.

FYI: As per the Admin CP instructions only these variables can be used in emails:

            Message:
            In the message, you may use $userid, $username, $email, $activateid, and $activatelink.
