  • problem with firefox and gzip content encoding error

    I got an error in firefox when tried get into forums in my board.

    Content Encoding Error
    The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.
    it was fixed alone after a while, don't know how, mod_gzip isn't installed on the server, neither mod_deflate.

    I tried every thing, and worked for some people, and didn't for others.

    what can I do if it will happen again? and how can I prevent it fro happening?

    which VB features can increase the server load?

    That is usually the result of double compression. Try disabling GZIP in vBulletin:

    Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Cookies and HTTP Header Options -> GZIP HTML Output

    If you can't get into the Admin CP because of the error then try adding this line to the top of the login.php file. That may allow you to login. Once inside the Admin CP then pages are not gzipped:

    define('NOZIP', 1);

      This isn't working for me. I tried everything and the best I can do is see the admincp login screen but once I enter my user/password, I get the same error. Even added NOZIP to login.php. Nothing
