Default Style ?

Ok, I loaded my default style with mods, since I first bought VB now I can see I have alot of errors, I get some blank screen and some database errors.

1. What I am trying to do is can I start a new default style and slowly transistion everything to the new defaut Style?

2. When I go to Style Manager and try to do a NEW STYLE and add No Parent Style I still have mods in the new style.

Any help would greatly be appreciated...

Not sure I understand what you are asking but:

1. Create a new style and choose no parent style. This will be identical to the original default style.

2. That is not possible unless you have modified the master template set. What did you do exactly?

OK I went to Style & Templates - Style Manager - Add New Style - No Parent Style - NEW - SAVE

and I still have mods on it...

I meant what did you do prior to that. As I said this is due to overwriting the master templates.

Try this. Reupload the original vbulletin-style.xml file to the install directory. Then upload the tools.php script in the 'do_not_upload' folder of the vB zip file to your Admin CP directory and run it from your browser. Then reimport the vbulletin-style.xml file by running tools.php from your browser. Immediately remove tools.php when you are done.

Steve, I really don't know what I did, I know its been messed up for awhile I just have not tried to fix it until now.. Some symptoms I get are when you try to use the above buttons like insert image you get a white screen , next when you try to update users info it wont let you save it., vb database error, I do have a list of all my installs.

Tried it and it didn't work... Next question is if I start a fresh install how do I move all my threads and members over?

how do I "run it from my browser? I am having this exact issue. I have overwtitten the master template.
