  • Anti-Spam: Is there a way to stop a post if theres a URL in it?

Hi, I get spam post about everyday, by bots... They are obviously always URLs in them... It is a rule on my forum not to post URLs so is there a way, if someone have URLs in their post, for the post not to go thru and be published?

Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

Adding "http" to your bad word filter might help. At least it will disable posted links.

        Thats a good idea,

All the problems with SPAM, I would of thought vbulletin would of made it a priority,

if you find another forum board that solves this problem I will sign up to it.
If it was easy, I would of done it.
