  • How to profile vB pages?

    Is there a way to see the time taken to run queries without enabling debug mode? When debug mode is enabled, all users see the additional info and I'd like to avoid that.

    There are addons at www.vbulletin.org that show the time it takes to process a page and the number of queries without being in debug mode.

      I'm not looking for the usual (and useless) ### ms and ## queries line. I'm looking for the time each query took and the query itself. Like the debug mode, but with the info only being available to myself. Is there really nothing like this in vB itself?

        There is a mod at vb.org called Microstats that does that.

          I don't see any mention of it returning per-query times.

            You are right. I saw "query time" and was thinking of the time to output the page.

            I've had success putting this in my config.php file:
            Code:
            if ($_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"] == "my.ip.here") {
                // enable debug mode for only my IP address
                $config['Misc']['debug'] = true;
            }
            Someone else said it didn't work. I have a dynamic IP, so I tested it by inputing my (then) current IP, seeing that debug was on, dumping my IP and getting a new one, and seeing that debug was now off.

              Ah, nice one. That should work indeed.
