Sorry if this is in the wrong place but i would like to know how to create a home page for my forum.

You can create a index.html or index.php file.

And rename the index.php from vBulletin to forums.php
And in the admincp you can set the index.php setting from index to forums

This way your homepage is index.php and your forums is forums.php

Thanks for the reply but i need to know how to actually design a home page for my forum. Do i need to purchase a new domain and host etc.

I don't see how you need new hosting or a domain.

But vBulletin doesn't come with a frontpage, this therefor falls outside the default vBulletin support. You could check out unofficial (and unsupported) addons like released on vBulletin.org, or vBAdvanced (dot com)
