    Core.#### files in forum directory

I have had this problem on a previous version of vB

    Thread: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=211198

and back then I read the link in the thread and deleted the files as suggested and they never returned.

    Now I am using Version 3.7.2 patch2

and the core files are back, I only noticed them after doing the patch2 upgrade although the first file had been made under patch1. The day after I put in patch 2 I noticed that I had no server space and came across the files.

The server is a hosted server on which I have no control but there seems to have been no changes made, but the files keep coming back within a few days after I delete them.

In the original thread it was said they were caused by server errors, can someone give a little more detail on what kind of errors, basicly something I can take to me provider and say hey this seems to be going on can you sort it.

I have had no adverse affect to the actual forums, to suggest that there is any error which is why I am at a loss, and the files just eat all my sitre space which kills the ability to receive email.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

core.xxx files are when php has a segfaul or hard crashes. You should tell your host, and after they look at the files get rid of them.
