    Just Installed, Major Problems

Right well I've just purchased and installed vbulletin, and me being the administrator, I should be able to Log in to the AdminCP, now heres where it gets a tad messed up.

I followed the Manual to the tee, deleting the install.php and the upgrade.pjp files, then tried to log in, , It gives the usual Vbulletin ''Welcome, Thank you for logging in'' redirection Page. Then when it redirects, it says I'm logged in, yet I have no access, basically I can't even use my forum account, in the case of the admincp it just goes back to the Login page, and repeats over and over again.
So thinking logically, or ill-logically, depending on your ideals, I went to my ftp server and deleted the entire install folder. Problem still isn't solved.

    Additonal Information.

    Running Firefox
    Only purchased it today.

So now, I'm left with a forum I cant edit or log into that I'm after spending a large amount of money on. If anyone can help me I would be very grateful.

    Thankyou.

This is probably a cookie domain/path issue. To fix this, upload the tools.php script in the 'do_not_upload' folder of the vB zip file to your Admin CP directory and run it from your browser. Use this to reset the cookie domain and path back to the defaults. And then leave your cookie domain and path at the default settings. There is no reason to change these. If you need to specify a unique cookie, use the cookie prefix setting in config.php instead.

You need to upload the install directory and all it's files except 'install.php'.

Note: I wish people would stop removing that directory and files.

Steve, you could make an annocement or maybe put it in bold, caps and italics?

You might get a few more people listening then. A lot of people that I've helped I have noticed the lack of the certain directory.

^^' shouldn't try to fix problems when overworked, I keep getting the same message, I reuploaded the install directory and I'm still getting the same problem, anything I might be doing totally wrong?

You cannot get the same error in post #3 if you uploaded all the files as instructed.
