    Splitting vBulletin across different sub-directories

    Hey Guyz,

I was wondering if you could split 1 vbulletin instalation over a few sub-directories. So have commodorelife.com/holden, commodorelife.com/ford, commodorelife.com/honda, etc.

So that when I made 1 change in the adminCP it will reflect over all sub-directories. So basically instead of having 50 forums on1 page, split it up over 5, 10 per page, etc.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

If I understand you correctly, not only would that require substantial modifications to the code, it would also require a separate license for ech forum URL.

I thought there would be a way without seperate licences, because with that, wouldn;t you need a seperate forum registration with each forum?

No, that interpretation is wrong. You are showing different content per subdomain and that requires separate licenses.

Wouldn't this only require one license if

          • domain.com shows all main forum categories (ford/toyota/lexus)
            • domain.com/ford shows ford forums
            • domain.com/toyota shows toyota forums
            • domain.com/lexus shows lexus forums

That's no different from how vBulletin currently works. Oh, and domain.com/something is not a subdomain.

Have a look at this mod:

I am testing this at the moment but it sounds like it could give you almost what you want.
