that is one yr free updates.

they have it written right on the order page

    copied and pasted

    vBulletin (Owned License)
The owned vBulletin Forum license allows you to run the software on your site indefinitely. Along with this license, you will receive one year of free updates. Beyond the first year, a nominal fee of $60 (or $40 if purchased within 60 days of the license expiring) is payable to obtain updates for an additional year.

This license includes free support via email and on the community forum. Phone Support is not included in the license price but may be purchased for an additional cost either at the time of initial purchase, or afterwards through the Members' Area.

Purchasing the Owned License entitles you to the right to use the license on your site forever.
You only have access to new downloads for 1 year. After that year, you can only download versions that were released before the year expired. If you want to renew your access to new downloads, you must pay a fee of $60.

Please start a Support Ticket from your Member's Area to get additional assistance on this matter. Be sure to include a link to this thread in the Ticket.
        Regards,
        Nick

duh? You need to read what you brought. All you get for the $180 is a LIFE LONG licence and ONE year of updates! I think you should apologise to vB for not being able to read and starting an offensive thread.

With an owned license (and any official add-ons) you can run the software forever - that doesn't end. The listed expiration is for your access to the download new versions from the Members Area. You get one year of free upgrades with your license.

After this you can renew access to new versions for $40 if done within 60 days of the 'expiry' date or $60 if done after. However, this is optional and you are allowed to continue running your current version for as long as you like.

You will continue to have download access for any versions released while your license was active.

When the License was 160, it was still the same policy.
