How do you make the forum private

Hi,
How do you make the forum private and users can only see posts and threads but can't post. I tried to set it up using password protect the forum but it's not exactly what I want. I want unregistered members and members be able to see posts and thread counts but setting it up using password protect don't show post counts and threads when it actually have posts and theads in the forum. Please help.

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Permissions -> Edit (Unregistered) ->

Can View Forum -> Yes

Can Post Threads -> No

Can Reply to Own Threads -> No

Can Reply to Others' Threads -> No
