    Favicon

    Hi.
When i installed vbulletin, the favicon doesn't show up. And i've made sure its all correct and present in the forums root directory, and it is.. But it doesnt show up.

This might well just be an option within the control panel, which i can switch on/off, But i cant seem to find an option, so can someone give a suggestion.

I have added <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.mysite.com/forums/favicon.ico" /> in the template include - still not working

    Thanks

I have seen this, and tried it. But still doesnt work:

Tips, the first thing you have to do is upload your custom fivicon at the same location at the original favicon position in your forum.

After that type in your browser the directions of you favicon icon
The icon must be seen on IE or FF window by it self on the top in a white background i.e.

If you can reach the step above all you have to do is place the phrase right at bottom of your headinclude template.

    HTML Code:
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.mysite.com/forum/favicon.ico" />
    A few extra tips.

    - In some browsers it'll only work if the file has .ico extension and you will must keep the name favicon.
    - Files like jpg, bmp, png, etc, doesn't work good for this and you can get a freeware software on the web to convert your jpg for ico files.
    - Use 16x16 or 32x32 pixel resolution for your favicon.ico file
    - Don't forget to edit the link you have to include on headinclude template according to your forum locations.

I hope I can help you somehow with this.

It was to do with my host. I have vbulletin on my secondary domain name on my host, so i had to direct the link href to a slightly different URL.

Does this mean that you solved the problem?
