    Status Icons

Is there a step-by-step guide for setting up the status icons to the left of the forum threads? I need it really simple and from the top. Thanks,
    Judy

You want the 'Forum Status Icons' column removed and placed within same thread column? Which do you mean, as forum home has the large images and forum display has both large are small images. You can ask a style designer to create this and or give you instruction to accomplish this in over at www.vBulletin.org.

I don't want to move anything. I just want to know how to make them work. Right now I have question marks instead of icons. I think I have to rename the .gif files in /images/statusicons, but I'm not sure what to name them to or what kind of prefix it's looking for.
      Thank you for your help.

The question marks are used for accounts that don't have an avatar. You generally see them in visitor messaging. I don't see how you're getting question mark icons for your status icons on FOURMHOME.

There is a column to the left of the forum categories on the first forum page and there is a column to the left of each thread. What goes in it? I have a question mark. I think the avatars go in the first column on the left on the second page of the forum. I have question marks there, too. And at the bottom of the page there are question marks to the left of "Forum Contains New Posts," "Forum Contains No New Posts," and "Forum Is Closed for Posting." There are other question marks as well.
          Thank you for your help.

No it's a white question mark in a blue square. All are the same.
                  Thank you for your help.

Can you post the little graphic?

Right click the image and go to properties. about half way down it will give the address and the name of the file. can you post the filename for the icon?

IF you can, can you post a link to your site or pm me one?

I can't seem to post the image, but here are some of the paths. vB can't seem to find the file on the server. Do I need to edit a path somewhere?

The ? to the left of the Thread starters: forum/images/statusicon/forum_old.gif was not found on this server.

The ? /forum/images/misc/navbits_finallink_ltr.gif was not found on this server.

? left of New Post /forum/images/statusicon/thread_new.gif

? left of Hot Threads With New Posts: http://mineralrightsonline.com/forum...ad_hot_new.gif

The question mark is most likely created by your browser to show a missing image. If your forums are actually installed in the forum directory than make sure to upload all the images from your original path. Also remember that paths are case sensitive.

If you need to change the path of your forums you can do it under vBulletin Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details.

That sounds like you did not upload the images directory or you are not using the default style. it is supposed to look like this . Mine always come up as a red "x" rather than a question mark though.

Now we're getting somewhere. I changed the path in the vBulletins Options > URL (I had forum instead of forums) and up popped a green arrow beside my post.
vBulletin is pointing to /images/icons rather than /images/statusicons. How do I fix that?

NEVER MIND I GOT IT. THANKS TO ALL.
