    Login Error

    Hi guys,
I recently moved an old phpbb2 board to vbulletin (using latest impex) and I recive the following error while trying to log in :

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '.', expecting ']' in /home/yehidaco/public_html/forums/includes/functions_login.php(314) : eval()'d code on line 1

Any ideas what might be causing the problem ?

    Thanks,
    Guy N.

You have an addon which is causing that error. Disable all addons via config.php by adding the following line immediately after the first <?php in config.php:
    Code:
    define("DISABLE_HOOKS", true);
Then, uninstall the addon so you can remove the line and still use the hooks system. If you must have the addon there for whatever reason, then you will need to contact the addon's developer for further assistance.
    Best Regards,

      Hi Andy,
      Thanks for the quick replay.
Adding the code does allow me to access the admincp however I can not log through the site itself nor can i find ANY plugin installed on the board.
I am using a bridge between Joomla and Vbulletin (jfusion) however the connection is made through Joomla and without Any changes to the vbulletin files.

      Any ideas ?
Can you explain a bit more about the error itself ? i'll try to find out if anyone else is experiencing it with Jfusion, though i have to admit it is unlikely.

      Thanks
      Guy N.

You cannot have a 'bridge' to Joomla without affecting vB. Nor can we provide support for third-party code and add-ons. I suggest asking for help over at www.vbulletin.org.

          Hi Steve,
I am posting the same question at the Jfusion (bridge) forums however please consider the following option :
          1. The integrated component is installed through the Joomla installer (which does not have the proper file permissions to change anything in Vbulletin).
          2. The integration is made through an Iframe inside Joomla
          3. User registration is simply managed through Vbulletin.
          4. And finally, when you log through Joomla, it simply creates a couple of extra cookies to fit the Vbulletin requirements for a login.

Unless I'm missing out on something - nothing should change in the Joomla files.

Two final notes - The problem occour even when i try to log in directly to Vbulletin (not through the bridge)
The site Url is - http://62.219.24.15/~yehidaco/forums/

We do not support Joomla, Joomla integration or any thrid-paty add-ons. Sorry if that was not clear.

That error will NOT exist with the default vB code, templates and no add-ons.

              Hi Steve,
              Just a quick update.
The problem was caused by the Hebrew translation I used in the site.
I'm not sure if that translation came from the vbulletin forums (was delivered t me by my client) however it might be worth an investigation.
