You can send a mass email to the 'Users Awaiting' group and use $activatelink in the body of the message.

Admin CP -> Users -> Send Email to Users

Make sure you only choose the Users Awaiting group.

No, you use that wherever you want the link to appear.

If you only place that, the e-mail will have nothing in it except the link.... which will most likely be confusing to most people. lol

Is this all I need to put in the text email box to send or do I need to also include the bb code at beginning of $activatelink and end of $activatelink?

              The first one is correct.
              No BB codes needed.

However, you have "$vboptions" in the message... I don't believe that will equate to your forum's name.

i just upgraded to vb 3.73 pl1 and then tried to do this again, using the same code as above, yet i am getting replies from aol users saying they are not able to login.

from the member - when I received an email from your site telling me to go to the URL it was the final thing in the registration process but when i go there it tells me that it cannot activate my registration because the address was Wrong or not complete and gave me two options on was to request another i did and that did not work the other was to write you.

Hello, this URL above is not working. Please send one that is working
is there a known bug in the update or something?

                      it worked before the upgrade.

What is your forum URL set to? Have you installed any add-ons?

i edited out my site name and put "example.com" in place of it.

my home page url and forum url are proper.

there are some add-ons installed, yes.

If the forum URL is 'proper' then this has to be from a modification you installed. There are no other possibilities.
