Forum user posted a poll yesterday ... and linked to images from another web site for users to vote on. No attachments, just a poll.
A number of other users complained that when they either opened the thread or voted on her poll, their antivirus software identified a virus. Other users, myself included, were able to open the thread and vote in the poll with no alarm raised by antivirus software.
Real-time ScanTrend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security has detected a virus, spyware application, or other Internet threat, and performed the action specified.Infected file:C:\Documents and Settings\Veronica\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\FKLPE000\GlassBasinwithBathroomC abinet_60307[1].jpgVirus name:TROJ_IFRAME.CP
Was I incorrect in assuming that the only way to introduce a virus into a thread was via an attachment?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
