step 2 of installation - stops loading

Hello, I am having a problem when installing vBulletin. When I get to the second step (database connection) it seems to just load for a while and then stop and nothing happens. It doesn't even show any error messages. It also doesn't send any error messages to the email I entered in the config file.

I am hosted with GoDaddy and I've installed vBulletin before on this host without a single problem. I triple-checked everything in the config file and I am certain that I've entered everything correctly.

Make sure your config.php file has the right mysql server.

It has the right server. I know GoDaddy doesn't use the default "localhost" and I am using the server specified in my GoDaddy database manager.

This is a really weird problem especially since I'm familiar with installing vBulletin on GoDaddy and I am absolutely positive all my config.php info is correct.

Double and tripple check your settings, thats all I can tell you to be honest.

I had a similar issue on Godaddy. The database server had a problem.. I called them, and they fixed it. quick test, log into Godaddy. Under the mysql, try to do a backup on the database. If it fails, then you know.
