    Trouble connecting to...

Hi, Im having alittle trouble installing VBulletin.Durning installation when i get to the part where i have to connect to the database i get this error:

Step 2) Connect to the database
    Attempting to attach to database
Error description: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/usr/local/mysql-5.0/data/mysql.sock' (2) /home/content/m/s/o/msoto2629/html/forums/includes/class_core.php on line 311
The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file.

i looked and made sure everything is correct in the config.php file. But for some reason i keep getting this error.Im not sure if it has anything to do with my hosting because i got it today.I know i takes acouple of hours and in most cases days but everything else seems to be working correctly.

    Thanks in advance.

That would indicate that the server name in your config.php file is incorrect. Maybe you can ask your host to confirm this.

This is the setting you want to check: $config['MasterServer']['servername']
