Moderator permissions, but not a moderator?

    Hi,

I would like to create a usergroup called 'Power User'. I would like to give them the permissions to edit and soft delete others posts. But they can not have access to the moderators forum, or belong to that group on the forumleaders page or elsewhere. How would I best achieve this? I tried a few things, but it seems a user can only edit and delete others posts if he/she is a moderator?

What you want to do is not possible without making them moderators or modifying the code. They do not need to be in a moderator usergroup to be moderators though. You just have to assign them as moderators to the individual forums under the Forum Manager. You can edit their permissions individually under Forums & Moderators -> Show All Moderators.

Ok. The only problem in that case is that they show up as moderator on the forumleaders page. But if there is no other way I'll have to do it like that, thanks.
