Hi,
I made a clean vB4 install and the problem occurs in the search results page, but not on other pages.
So, I think it┤s not caused only by vBshout (I don┤t use it).
Look at the attached file.Click image for larger version

What's happening is, when the text is run through the processor, characters which have special meanings in HTML are replaced by their code like those, however, additionally, on your board, the text is being run through the processor again causing &'s to be replaced by & so they display. This is usually the fault of a modification or a hack as the default vBulletin does not do this as far as I am aware.

Those are the HTML markup tags for the respective ASCII characters.

I read somewhere else that if you use 'quote' compared to "quote" it looks corrext, for what it is worth, JPT.

I have same problem all over my board and in my shoutbox.

Here is my plugins:

Automatic vBshout Shoutbox Pruning (2.0 / 2.1)
passiveVid
vBShout

Perhaps there is something we both have?

Also I use a danish language file I got from a friend?

I can't recreate this on my test forum or here.

See:

Do you have any addons that parse the title when saving? Maybe one that allows BBCode or HTML for certain usergroups?

started a topic What is the cause of " and what's the fix???

What is the cause of " and what's the fix???

When a member enters quotation marks " in the thread title, they show as " after posting.

Example:

"Please help" will show as " Please help "

Why is this happening, and how can I fix it, please!
