How Can I Tell Who Made The One Millionth Post

on one of my forums? Just had one go over 1 million last night and everyone wants to know who did it.

If you have never deleted a post it will have a post ID of 1000000. Otherwise there is no reliable way to tell.

This query will find the post information:

select * from post where postid=1000000

again, this is the 1 millionth total as the database saw it... and might not necessarily match your counters due to deleted posts/threads/etc.

I'd imagine it would be a very rare scenario if a board reached 1m posts and not one was deleted. But yeah that's about as accurate as you're gonna get

We just had this happen on one of my forums and I decided it was easier to "celebrate" the millionth post based on what the forum said, so that means not counting deleted posts. But it also meant monitoring the forum as the counter clicked over to 1,000,000 posts.
