Actually, gave me a brainwave - I opened up the .sql file in Textmate, run a quick find and replace, zipped back up and restored the new version. Worked a treat.

You could do it in PhpMyAdmin or the ACP.

Oh, sorry, how would I do that exactly? I'm not very clued up on doing MySQL stuff. Would that be in the PHP MySQL admin thing or can I do it from within the admin control panel?

You could do it in an UPDATE query using LOCATE, SUBSTR and CONCAT.

Replace URLs in posts for new domain

I recently moved a forum to a new domain for rebranding purposes. A lot of posts at the site had images in them that were linked too from a directory at the original domain. I want to replace the part of the image links in the post to match it to the new domain - is it possible to do this easily using some find and replace option.

This is what I'm thinking, so the end of the paths and file names will stay the same.

    Find [ IMG]http://olddomain.com/images/

    replace with

    [ IMG]http://newdomain.com/forum/images/

Can someone suggest how I might do this?
