Ok I'm sorry, seems that I haven't looked well enough. There actually is this functionality I was looking for You can click the "Delete" button in the top of the "moderate threads" page and it sets all threads to be deleted when you click save.

I'm still curious though as to how this other post didn't get deleted - I stuffed it with [words and links of adult nature].. But maybe this Wordpress Akismet thing requires that some other person has marked a particular post as spam previously before it recognizes it as spam..?

    Thanks,
    Martin.

Yes, the in-line moderation feature also seems nice. There are only two problems there (for us). First, the feature isn't available since I didn't revert the template that includes that feature. (it will mess up our design). Secondly, it would be really nice not having to do it manually. I.e. this Akismet spam detection thing is really nice since it takes the posts offline automatically so we don't have to sit and monitor the forums constantly.

Is there no way of letting this moderation queue getting automatically emptied after the posts have been there for x days? Or does that need some complicated code mod?

    Thanks,
    Martin.

Just check the spam posts with inline moderation, and choose delete as spam

Yes ok, I now tried with the username viagra-test-123 and it said that it needs moderation first. Strange that this other post doesnt get caught though..

So, it ends up in the moderation quee I can see. Will they stack up there until I delete them, or can I make them get deleted after X days automatically? We get around 20 spam posts per day, so it would be nice not having to delete them all manually

    Thanks for the help!

Can't get spam management to work in 3.7.1

    Hi,

I'm in the process of upgraded to 3.7.1 and in that process trying to get the new spam management feature to work (vBulletin Anti-Spam Key Powered by Akismet). I have an Akismet key and I have tried making some posts that I would expect to be caught (for example this one: http://www.liveboxx.com/showthread.php?t=28720). It doesn't however.

I have a feeling myself that the problems is related to templates and the fact that i have not reverted them all. I have not reverted them all since that will mess up my design. If that is the case, then the question is where is this Anti-Spam code hiding? Can I revert one of the templates only and get the functionality, in that case which one? Or can I simply add some code to an existing template? The last option would be the best for me since then there is the least chance of messing up my existing site.

The site can be found here: http://www.liveboxx.com. This is a test site that I'm using before upgrading the real site www.vtctalk.com.

Hope to get some ideas, and thanks in advance!

    /martin
