  • Showing statistics on a different template..

How would I go about doing this (title)? I copied and pasted the following:
    PHP Code:
    $vbphrase[threads]: $totalthreads$vbphrase[posts]: $totalposts$vbphrase[members]: $numbermembers
From the forumhome to the footer, and it obviously didn't work.

What's another (secure) way of retrieving the said information?

There is supporting code in Index.php for this. The variables are only created for forumhome. You will need a plugin from vBulletin.org to get it to work elsewhere.

I see I can add the footer to the cached templates in the index.php... maybe I can make it output to footer as well?

No.. The footer is parsed and cached before it even processes those variables.
