  • Controlling attachment.php via refferals on IIS?

    My server is IIS/6.0

I have a problem with attachment hotlinking with the following setup:

    - guest browsable forum
    - guests can view attachments

I want to make it so that:

    - attachment.php with an off-site referral redirects to the showthread.php or showpost.php page the attachment came from

I want to also ensure that attachment.php works as normal for guests and members when:

    - attachment.php with a local referral
    - attachment.php with no referral

I'd also ideally like to whitelist specific sites.

    Is this even possible?

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

You can use htaccess for that:

Oh I'm sorry, htaccess only works on Apache servers. I know IIS has some similar configuration options, but I don't know where they are or how to use them. The people in the server forum might know:
