  • Search Full Type = DB Crash... any ideas!

    Basically, we ran the 'search type' change to 'full text' (I think), and it stopped half way through and crashed. We have a very large database.

    We now get errors that read...

    Invalid SQL:

    SELECT COUNT(*) AS count
    FROM attachment AS attachment
    INNER JOIN post AS post USING (postid)
    WHERE attachment.visible = 0;

    MySQL Error : Table 'post' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed
    Error Number : 1195

    We've tried to repair the db but it maxes our our /tmp drive and our processor.

    What do we need to do?

    To fix this run Repair/Optimize in the Admin CP. You may need to run it more than once to fix all errors:

    Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Repair/Optimize Tables -> Check All -> Continue

    If you cannot access the Admin CP you can also use phpMyAdmin to repair tables.

    Also please see these instructions for other available methods to repair a database:
