    1. Internal Server errors are generally related to either a server problem, or added code to the vB files and/or templates.

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

    Next, disable all plugins.

Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

    define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

    2. This is a server issue. You'll need to contact your host about this. Here are the reasons for the MySQL server going away:

    Also from the MySQL site:

I get the error message every time I try to move or copy a thread now. I guess the error messages going to my email are not the right ones. My hosting company just emailed me this response:

    Thank you for contacting us.

This is a follow up about your query a while ago regarding error logs
for sonoma.ca.theparentpack.org. Since we don't provide access to Apache error logs on shared hosting packages for technical reasons, you can create your own error logs for debugging PHP Scripts.

Please see this link for your reference:
    http://faq.1and1.com/scripting_langu...ted/php/8.html

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

I have no idea what to do from here. I just know I cannot properly moderate my forums if I cannot move or copy forums. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

I am not. Sorry I have more than one forum, must have copied the wrong database error. The new install was from my backup/test database...

I had a few errors on the same date. Sorry about that.

Why are you running install.php on top of an existing forum?

Ask the host to check the error_log for this error, to disclose the full error.
