I am assuming that templates and styles that worked is 3.6 will not work with 3.7. Am I correct in this assumption?

BTW I am new to vb, just bought a week ago and set up a test 3.7 board

It really depends on the style and modifications it contains. If the style is simply color and graphics changes then you won't have any problem with it workin on 3.7.0.

If it makes comprehensive changes to the template structure, your best off waiting until the designer upgrades it to support 3.7.0.

are there any templates approved for 3.7?

or any way to remove the big vBulletin graphic from the top of the page and replace it with something less generic?

or even change the colors so it does not look like a fresh new install.

We don't place a seal of approval on third-party styles. There are some 3.7.0 styles available at www.vbulletin.org though.

To change the colors of your forum follow these steps:

Go to Styles & Templates > Style Manager > MainCSS (from the drop menu)

This screen will list all the colors. If you know your color codes for each section, then enter the 3 or 6 digit code here.

If you do not know your color codes then clicking on the color swatches for each item will open a palette that will allow you to choose the color you want.

You can see color maps that tell you what sections affect which part of the forums by visiting http://www.vbulletin.com/go/colormaps.

You can find a tutorial on using color with CSS at http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_colors.asp.

To change the logo follow these steps:
You have to upload your own logo via FTP.

Upload it to the /images/misc folder in the forum folder, then log into your admin control panel

Styles & Templates > Style Manager > StyleVars (from the drop menu)

Scroll down a little and you will see the Image controls. In the Title Image, replace vbulletin3_logo_white.gif with the name of your logo image.
