Make sure you have font files in your 'images/regimage/fonts' directory.

Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

Enable phpinfo in the Admin CP, then provide the URL to your forums. This may help us troubleshoot this problem.

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Server Settings and Optimization Options -> Public phpinfo() Display Enabled

          Hello,

I am having the exact same problem mentionned here. This was not happening with vbulletin 3.6.10 (i don't think... but definately not with 3.6.9)

          The font files are there...

Here is the link to phpInfo: http://forum.m4e.com/index.php&do=phpinfo

I selected GD... that's what i was using before.

I just chose recaptcha this time... it simplifies my life (didn't know recaptcha was free).

But you can still answer if someone has the same problem.

I'm having the exact same problem, there isn't any text showing just some image that looks like a cloud.
              Any help would be appreciated.

Everyone else needs to start their own thread. Thank you.

In 3.6.X, vBulletin defaulted to using Simplefonts. However that method was proven ineffective and simplefont support has been removed from vBulletin. vBulletin 3.7.0 defaults to GD with Truetype Support. Truetype Support is provided by a library called Freetype 2. Freetype 1 is insufficient.

Your issue is caused by not having Freetype 2 support compiled into PHP. In order to continue using image based Captcha, you will need to have your hosting company recompile PHP with Freetype 2 support. The alternative workaround is to use either the Question Based Captcha or Recaptcha under vBulletin Options -> Human Verification Options.

                          Thx,

I've been thinking about Freetype 2 support but didnt sure.
However image verification or Recaptcha is better to use?

                          thx
