Please lengthen your message to at least 2 characters

When I try to Post a New Visitor Message on my forum (3.7), I sometimes get this error:

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 2 characters.

... but the message is already longer than 2 characters.

Any ideas how to fix that?

It's when I try to post a new visitor message on someone's profile.

(Other times it works fine.)

Looks like some sort of bug.
Can you reproduce it on this forum?
When you get this message, the forum's page have been fully loaded?
Do you have some BBCodes in message?
