    You would need to modify the PHP code to do this. This is not supported and would have to be asked over at www.vbulletin.org.

    Exactly. So I am looking at how to insert code in the template to enable at least basic bb codes.

    I've checked the socialgroups_form template this page uses

    and compared it with other message textarea boxes
    but I can't see how BB code is enabled.
    I added a whole lot of code about format controls but maybe I have to put something in the head of the page template too. ???

    Currently BB code is not allowed in a Social Groups description.
    Page url is /forums/group.php?do=create

    I've checked the socialgroups_form template this page uses

    and compared it with other message textarea boxes

    I mainly want to enable URL links - that alone is the key item
    but Bold Italic and image would be great too.
