    vBulletin 3.6.8 To 4.0?

Is this going to be a simple upgrade if I want to go from 3.6.8 to 4.0? I want to update to a newer forum but don't want to wreck my board or lose my database.

Not sure if this was the right place to post this, but seemed like a good place to start. Mods, please move this with a redirect if need be. Thanks.

Please note that as per all the announcements and emails we have provided vB4 Beta is not officially supported.

You will have to upgrade to 3.7.0 first. After that you can upgrade to vB4.

Now that 4.0 if released is it possible to go direct from 3.68 to 4.01 or do we still have to go to 3.7 first?

You should consider upgrading to at least 3.7 as an interim step then on to 4.0. Personally, I'd upgrade to 3.8.4 first, backup again then do the upgrade to 4.0

Questions as my company is considering upgrading to 4 ourselves. We are running 3.6.7 if we upgrade to 3.7 then 3.6.8 will all our design changes follow? We have a very customized look on our forums and the previous developer left leaving an inexperienced person with this to figure things out ;-) Anyway I want the upgrade to be as smooth to my users as possible. Would a 3.6.7-3.7-3.8.4-4.x be the best option for us to keep our existing templates/images/design?

            Thank you!
