Bypassing a permanent ban

We have a troll who has been banned permanently.

I have also changed her password and banned her various IP addresses.

She has started to appear on the forum under the banned name.

She is coming in using new IP addresses, but surely the ban would stop her anyway?

Any ideas on how this can happen?

Any suggestions as to how to stop her getting in?

Is there an ultimate way to stop someone, a way I don't know about?

A ban will only stop them posting - provided the usergroup settings are correct.

If you want to stop them from being able to access your forums - or at least make it very difficult for them - then I'd suggest having a look at this mod from www.vbulletin.org:

They are likely using a proxy. There is a mod plug-in on vb.org that should help against this. Be warned though, a few members that use proxies like AOL may not be or may have trouble accessing the site if it is installed. There is also a multiple account plug-in on vb.org that may help as well.

Should be the case - unless they can guess it. However, remember that they can request a password reset/reminder...
