  • Private messages Table Problem / No Title/link , pm date changed to 1970

I have exactly this problem :
    ticket id :SID-794109
The number of private messages showing in the users CP is still there, like 97 etc.

However the default date for all messages is

    10.00AM1st January 1970

I repair/optimized tables and any errors were fixed however the PM's are missing from CP of members.

Any new messages sent/received are OK since that table problem. Is there an SQL query I can run to get these PM's back? Records indicate they are still there in the database but something went wrong and got the unusual date for them all.
New pms is fine , but all pms for some users is not correct ,
there is no title or link for pm and also date changed to 1970.

If you've opened a support ticket there's no need to also make a thread.

i can't use any backup and need to solve it asap.
      Hello,

Thank you for contacting vBulletin Support. It appears the records for these older PMs were corrupted and not recovered from the repair operation. You would have to restore the PM and PMTEXT tables from a database backup made before the tables crashed.

This means that you have missing records in your database for the PM's displayed like this. The only way to restore these records is with a database backup. Otherwise, these private messages are lost and cannot be restored. The only "fix" is to cleanup the database to remove the affected records. This is not something to be attempted unless you are extremely familiar with creating and running custom mysql queries.

The actual query to be used depends on the damage done and the state of the database tables involved. Each time this is needed it requires an individual query to be tailored for that exact situation.

Please start a support ticket and mark it for my attention. Be sure to include your AdminCP and phpmyadmin information as well as a link back to this thread.
