  • Remove FORUM NAME link for categories

    I have several forums that are just categories. I don't want the users to click on them. Clicking on categories is confusing people's navigation of my site. I want the users to only click on the sub-forums taking them directly to that sub-forum.

    Is there a way to disable the Forum Name link? (Without screwing up the non-category forum's links)

    thanks,

    Edit this template:

    Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> « » -> Forum Home Templates -> forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost

    Remove the red pieces:

    Code:
    <tbody>
    	<tr>
    		<td class="tcat" colspan="<if condition="$vboptions[showmoderatorcolumn]">6<else />5</if>">
    			<if condition="$childforumbits">
    			<a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('forumbit_$forumid')"><img id="collapseimg_forumbit_$forumid" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_tcat{$collapseimg_forumid}.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a>
    			</if>
    			<a href="forumdisplay.php?$session[sessionurl]f=$forum[forumid]">$forum[title]</a>
    			<if condition="$show['forumdescription']"><div class="smallfont">$forum[description]</div></if>
    			<if condition="$show['subforums']"><div class="smallfont"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</div></if>
    		</td>
    	</tr>
    </tbody>
    <if condition="$childforumbits">
    <tbody id="collapseobj_forumbit_$forumid" style="{$collapseobj_forumid}">
    $childforumbits
    </tbody>
    </if>
