Patch Upgrade?

How in the world do I get the patch to show that it took?

I am running 3.6.8 and would like the Patch 2 yet everytime I upload the 3 files in the patch AND overwrite the old, it still doesnt show anymore than 3.6.8 and in the admin panel still says I need to upgrade.

Do i have to do the Patch 1 first?

It sounds like you are doing it correctly. Make sure you refresh the entire Admin CP to see the updated version number in the top bar. Note that the "patch level 2" part of the version only shows in the Admin CP, not on the front end.
