Calling a new template using a single variable

How do I display the output of a new template in another by calling it through the new template name?

Example…I have made a new template called ‘test’ through admin>styles>new template. I would like to get the code in that new template to execute and display by just inserting $test at the required location in an existing vb template.

My efforts so far have resulted in nothing showing, any help would be appreciated.

PHP code is required to evaluate your template to a variable, like this:

eval('$mytemplate1 = "' . fetch_template('mytemplate1') . '";');

This code can be added with a plugin. If you need help with this code then you should post on www.vbulletin.org , the official vB hacking site.
