    Hello.

I've noticed that when someone subscribes to a forum, postings in the forum are sent more than one time over the span of a day or two.

Is there way to limit the notification of new postings in subcribed forums to only one?

    Thanks.

No there isn't. If they are borwsing the forums this is normal.

I think I phrased my question poorly. Here is another try.

When a member subscribes to a forum to be notified of new posting by email, they tend to receive serveral emails over the course of 24 or 36 hours.

Is there a way to limit new postings in subscribed forums email notifications to only one per member?

      Thanks.

That is the way it should be abd that is the way it works for me. Have you installed any add-ons or modifications?

Then it's almost certainly due to your add-ons.

              No, it isn;t.

I took out this add-on. Turns out it wasn't working anyway. I did another test:

I subscribed to a section on my site with the "daily updates by email" option.
I disabled the Daily Digest 2 scheduled task.
I changed the Daily Digest scheduled task to run once per minute.
I posted a test message in the section I just subscribed to.

I stopped it after 20 minutes. I got 20 messages. This is why members who select daily updates by email get 2 to 4 duplicate messages over two days. Daily Digest and Daily Digest 2 run 12 hours apart at 6am and 6pm daily.

Should it not only have sent one? When does Daily Digest stop sending updates?

              I am running vBulletin 3.6.8.

              Thanks.
