    Thanks for your reply!!

    Ive tried that, but it adds a column in within the main forum table, and I want to put content next to the forum, effectively on the background. See attached pic, I have the forums moved over to the left (using your instructions on putting the entire forum in a table )
    and want content (ads) down the right hand side on the green.

    I think Ive figured it out though!

    I just added some code to the footer end of the table, so put

    Code:
    <td>Cell 2</td>
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    Instead of:

    Code:
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    I now just have to figure out how to get what i want in that cell LOL!

    Put the forum in a table

    How do I put the forum in a table like set out here

    To align your forums to the left you need to put the entire forum in a table.

    To do this, add the following code to the very top of your header template
    Code:
    <table width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" align="left">
    <tr>
    <td>
    and this code to the very end of your footer template Code:
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    But adjust the table so that it works as 2 cells, with the forum in cell 1, leaving cell 2 for me to add in other content?

    Code:
    <table width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" align="left">
    <tr>
    <td>
    <td>Cell 1</td>
    <td>Cell 2</td>
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
