  • BB Code Manager - Edit Controls Missing?

I put in a new BB Code (yes, without testing it) & now I need to edit it. However, in my BB Code Manager window, there is nothing under the "Controls" option. How do I get those controls to appear?

That's caused by bad code in youer BB Code. I'm afraid the only way to fix this is to manually remove that custom BB code from the bbcode table in the database.

As a brand new user of vBulletin (just a few days & several mishaps later), I do hope you'll take a little pity on me & point me to a location where I can find the answers I need on how to get to that info.

You shouldn't mess with the database unless you know exactly what you are doing.

Fill out a support ticket at:

        http://members.vbulletin.com/members...ontactform.php

Please include a complete description of the problem and be sure to include the login info to your Admin CP and phpMyAdmin in the 'Sensitive Data' field.

PhpMyAdmin is a MySQL database management tool. Most web hosts provide this as part of the web site management tools such as CPanel, Plesk or Ensim. Look for a link to SQL or MySQL Databases. If you can't find it I suggest you ask your host about this.

If for some reason they do not provide phpMyAdmin or an equivalent MySQL manager, then you can download and install phpMyAdmin yourself from this location:

        http://www.phpmyadmin.net/

Thank you! I'm headed that direction now. I'm quite sure they have it but I haven't installed it yet.
