  • Allowing a user to be a style contributor without being able to admin threads/posts

Is it possible to give a user access to the admincp just so they can work with the style manager without giving them access to other admin powers?

I tried adding them to the administrators group, and using administrator permissions (from under usergroups in admincp) to say 'no' to everything, but they still have access to moderate/etc in the forum itself.

Is it possible to give such restricted access to the admincp?

The goal is to allow someone to use the style manager to experiment and tweak vb styles. If there is an easy way to do this in another fashion, please let me know.

    thx

Easier to setup a locked test vBulletin directory for this purpose. That way they can edit all they want without any danger of ruining an existing forum. Then all you have to do is import the changes to the active forum when the designer is finished.
