Hopefully this is in the right section of the forum, I dont know.
Anywho..
Right now I have PHP 4.4.7 and want to upgrade to PHP 5.
What i'd like to know is what is the best and most stable PHP 5 out there that works with Vbulletin (what version).
Second, should I upgrade any other part of my server software to better support Vbulletin?
Third, after upgrading the software do I have to changeover anything on vbulletin to work with the new software updates or is it pretty automatic?
Server info:
Linux OS
Cpanel
PHP 4.4.7
MySQL 4.1.21-standard
CentOS 4.5
Reason I'm wondering is I would like to help optimize the server settings, my Vbulletin board is growing and I want to help optmize my server a bit to support it. I run a good VPS with a decent amount of memory.
Anywho, any suggestions is great. thank you.
