Limiting Quotes

Hi,

Members use reply with quote when its not necessary and with long posts. How do I limit how much of a quote is quoted when replying with quotes?

Trunacate quotes... I will test to see if it possible.

# find and replace with

				<div style="font-style:italic">$message</div>

				</div>
				<div style="font-size:italic 10pt; display: block; width: 650px; height: 100px; overflow: hidden; padding: 0;">$message</div>
			<else />
				$message

Yes, for some reason it works and will try to make a plugin, but need to read on it.

Adjust height and width to suite your style.

Thanks for this great tool for shortening quotes! I also don't like long quotes. For my forum I adjusted your code a little bit to:

<div style="font-size:italic; display: block; height: 100px; overflow-y: scroll; overflow-x: no; padding: 0;">$message</div>

Now it has a nice scrollbar on the right side of hte quote, so people can scroll through the whole quoted message.
