      Hi Steve,

I have create an user profile to enter birthday. But when I keyed in for e.g. 12.04.1970 and pressed enter. It showed "invalid entry". Please kindly advise.

Is it possible to have those menu-drop down select type of entrys for birthdays (like the one for the user's date of birth)

      Thank you.

      Regards,
      Eric

vB already has a built-in birthdate field. Just enable that.

          Hi Steve,

          Sorry for the miscommunication.

          (1) I want a extra birthday entries for the user's (member's) children. That is birthday entries for 1st child, 2nd child etc. for that particular member.

          (2) And may I know how to enforce gender entry for members?

          Thanks again.

          Regards,
          Eric

            1. Set this Regex in that user field to enforce the DD-MM-YYYY date format:

            ^(0[1-9]|[12][0-9]|3[01])-(0[1-9]|1[012])-(19|20)\d\d$

            2. Juts make that field 'Required'.

              Hi Steve,

              Pls advise.

With this code:^(0[1-9]|[12][0-9]|3[01])-(0[1-9]|1[012])-(19|20)\d\d$ my members were forced to fill up the entry, if not they will encountered this error
"You did not enter the correct format for the 2nd Child's Birthday field. Please read the field description for the expected format."

May I know how to change the code so that my members have the optional of not filling up the entry (e.g. they only have 1 kid, so they can omit filling up the 2nd kids birthday). The field required was already selected to No.

              2 more qns

              1) I know that members do received automatic birthday msg.
How to set this extra automatic birthday email for their children based on their input in the added user profile (I want to keep the member birthday automatic email too)?

              2) Do you know the mods that assigned a male/female genders icons?

Thanks for yr help these 2 days.

              Regards,
              Eric

                1. Sorry I don't know how to hacve it both ways. You either can enforce the proper format or you can leave it free-form and live with the results.

                2. There is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.
