embeded images not showing up

I moved my attachments out of my database into a folder because my database was getting too large and impossible to backup.
Transfer went fine with no problems. The images are in my attachment folder and permissions are set to 777 for the folder.
Images no longer show up embedded in messages...nor do I get a link.
Instead I see something like:
Name: 3345.jpg Views: 15 Size: 80.9kb

BB codes are enabled...what else is wrong? New uploads also do not show up.

update

Finally tracked the problem down to a syntax error in the site url in the admin cp options. I was simply telling vBulletin to look in the wrong place for the image files. Got it sorted now.
