    Subscription Image Stays Intact After Expiration

    I have a subscription for "supporting members" which offers a badge (image) beneath their name while their subscription is intact.. However, I see subscriptions expiring but the images remaining...

    Is this something anyone else has dealt with? And if so, is there a fix or a "mod" that may cause this to happen?

    Thank you in advance...

    I don't have that problem on my forums. Have you modified the postbit or footer templates or have any add-ons installed.

      Yes, yes and yes.. Sigh. I really don't like modifying my vBulletin for this reason. I wish it were a perfect world and that ALL my needs were covered as options in the original package...

      Anyway. When I went into the "Edit Subscription" area, I thought I'd see an "Active" of "Yes" - but I didn't.. So, I just did a "Save" (submit) and when I refreshed the screen with a post of one of the member's in question, the "badge" was gone...

      I wonder if this explanation gives you an more idea of what could be wrong...

        To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

        Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

        [Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

        Next, disable all plugins.

        Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

        define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

        Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

          Thank you. I'll follow these instructions as soon as I have some time to play with the system. Just a note - one of my admins says that this Rarely happens. Maybe it's just a 'hiccup' of some sort once in awhile...
