    Thumbnails

The thumbnails next to the forum titles, how do I change them? Also am I under the right impression that in order to get avatar images, and all other images on the forum I need to upload them through ftp?

    1. Do you mean the status icons? Please provide a pic.

    2. That depends. If you are providing built-in avatars then you cna upload them with FTP or within the Admin CP if the specified directory is chmodded to 777, i.e., world-readable and witable.

If you enable custom avatars via the Usergroups settings, your members will be able to upload their own avatars.

Any images you want to use on the forums to replace the deault images willl need to be uploaded with FTP ot any method provided by your host's control panel.

If I understand you correctly, those are the status icons. You can upload new ones and replace the existing ones. Right-click on the image and look at the properties. This will show you which images you need to replace.

That doesnt tell me how to do it. Ok let me be specific here. I have never had Vbulletin before therefore I do not know what I am doing. Two: I do not have money to spend on having someone do it for me. Three: Having someone do it for me will not teach me on how to do it. Four: I do not know where to go; how to do it; nor do I know what I am looking at. Bottom line is I need someone to guide through modifying my vbulletin forum. I know how to add forums, moderate forums, and run the forum, I do not know how to modify the forum.

Am I screwed? or is there someone that can help me?

Perhaps if you provide a link to your forums and would be more clear on what exactly you are asking, we would be able to provide more help.

                1. By right-clicking on the first missing image and looking at the properties, I see that you have this set for the location of that image:

                http://speedjunkyz.info/forums/images/statusicon%20/forum_old.gif

The '%20' is a space. The correct location is this:

                http://speedjunkyz.info/forums/images/statusicon/forum_old.gif

You need to go into the style manager and correct the Image Paths for the statusicons:

Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> All Style Options -> Go -> Image Paths -> Item Status Icon Folder

Remove the blank space at the end of this, or check the 'revert' box and save the changes.

                2. We do not provide a portal for vB at this time. There are several add-ons that can do this, but they are third-party add-ons that we do not provide or support. You can check the Premium Modifications forum at www.vbulletin.org for information about these.

ok thanks that worked- by the way you and Martin from Support are the only ones who acually did any help. Do you mind if I continue picking your brain?

ok how about having a status icon(forum_old.gif) specific to the actuall forum:
I.e. Mitsubishi forum having a mitsubishi Icon, honda forum having a honda icon. etc etc.

or does it have to be the same throughout?
